Early Intervention Programs
We offer early childhood ABA therapy for kids in DC, Maryland, and Virginia starting around the age of 2 through the end of preschool. During these critical years, our team helps your child build strong foundations for communication, behavior, and social development. These are skills that carry them confidently into kindergarten and beyond.

What Counts as "Early Intervention"?

Early childhood education for kids with autism is critical because the earlier a child receives support, the stronger the foundation for communication, behavior, and social development. Early intervention builds skills that help the child succeed in everything that follows.
Most families come to us around ages 2–5. Children typically move into the next stage of support once they reach school age, around the time they start kindergarten.

Our Early Intervention Approach

We create custom ABA early intervention programs for your child's specific needs. These programs:
1. Use play-based, naturalistic methods that meet your child where they already are.
2. Emphasize Functional Communication Training: teaching your child effective ways to express wants and needs is often one of the most impactful things we can do early on.
3. Place a strong focus on building learner readiness skills such as paying attention, following directions, and other foundational skills that everything else builds on.
See our Services page> for a full look at every teaching approach we use, including Natural Environment Teaching, Positive Behavior Support, Errorless Teaching, and Prompt Fading.
